The REEF Junior Research Program is a 5-day intensive training program designed exclusively for school students (Classes 8–12). Organized by the Research and Education for Environmental Foundation (REEF), this program introduces young learners to the fascinating world of marine science, ocean exploration, and future career skills. This program focuses on hands-on learning, practical exposure, and interactive sessions that help students understand real-world scientific concepts in an engaging way. Participants will gain foundational knowledge in marine biology, environmental science, and emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence. During the training, students will explore topics such as marine ecosystems, ocean biodiversity, sea turtle conservation awareness, and laboratory-based experiments. The program also includes mini projects and activity-based learning to enhance creativity, critical thinking, and scientific curiosity. The sessions will be conducted at the MCC MRF Innovation Park, Madras Christian College, Tambaram, providing a dynamic academic environment for young minds to learn and grow. This program is ideal for students who are interested in science, research, marine biology, zoology, and future technology careers. Upon successful completion, all participants will receive a certificate from REEF, along with opportunities for recognition through Best Student Awards.
